Salona Yachts succesful at North Sea Regatta 2009
The North Sea Regatta was a success for Salona Yachts: three Salona Yachts in different classes finish as convincing winnners.
| In IRC2 the new Salona 34 'S34' with skipper Erik van Vuuren was superior and won the Yeoman Cup, Fjelsto Race and the North Sea Race and became the overall winner. In ORC1 the Salona 45 'Popov' with skipper Hans Tak won the overall first price, Fjelsto Race and the Yeoman Cup and in ORC 2 the Salona 37ibc 'Lenco' skippered by Nico Brabers won the overall price thanks to two strong sailed offshore races.
The Delta Lloyd North Sea Regatta is open to IRC and ORC yachts. The 110-mile North Sea Race from Scheveningen to Harwich opens the event. After a rest day in Harwich, the IRC and ORC classes return to the Netherlands on Friday 22 May, sailing the R.O.R.C. North Sea Race. During the Whitsun weekend, from 29 May until 1 June, more than 26 classes race off the Scheveningen coast.
